Inspired by my great childhood love of rare emu sightings on family road trips. Happily in recent times my emu sightings have been more frequent and at close range. They are part of the landscape on the road from Echuca to Hay NSW where I visited last year. I love the strong family bonds of emus and watching them wander across the plains, unhurried and seemingly carefree.

This small work is perfect for lovers of Australian wildlife and the incredible light of the Hay plains.
